Best Western Plus Stoke-on-Trent Moat House Hotel is in Hanley in the city of Stoke-on-Trent -
European City of Sport in 2016. The city's business district is close to the hotel, whilst Hanley's shops, theatres, museums and cinemas are on our doorstep.

There is lots to do in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire and the hotel is a great place to stay for families and couples alike. Just a short walk from the hotel are the dry ski slopes and toboggan runs at Stoke Ski Centre  , Waterworld indoor aqua park and a ten-pin  Bowling Alley.

Other nearby attractions include Emma Bridgewater Factory,  World of Wedgwood, The Potteries Museum (famous for the Anglo-Saxon treasure-trove, the Staffordshire Hoard), Monkey Forest, Gladstone Pottery Museum and Middleport Pottery. Alton Towers and The Peak District are 30 minutes from the hotel. If you like shopping, Potteries Shopping Centre is the largest shopping, restaurant and entertainment complex  in Staffordshire and South Cheshire. The historic market town of Newcastle-under-Lyme is also a short drive.

Stay with us in Stoke-on-Trent for Betley Concerts in August. The hotel is close to Betley Concerts site which this summer welcomes Bryan Adams, Will Young and Simply Red as its headline acts. Local theatres include Regent Theatre and Victoria Hall, the New Vic and The Mitchell Arts Centre.

There is a choice of cinemas in the area.Odeon cinema is a short walk from the hotel, whilst Cineworld in Hanley and Vue Cinema in the market town of Newcastle-under-Lyme are both within 10 minutes drive of the hotel. Children under 12 stay and eat free in the hotel when accompanied by an adult and dining from the regular menu, however there are numerous restaurants in Hanley and the local area to choose from.

Visit England has designated 2016 as The Year Of The English Garden. It's 300 years since the birth of Capability Brown - England's finest landscaper whose "workplace" was in Staffordshire. The hotel is close to a number of award-winning gardens including Trentham Gardens, Biddulph Grange  and The Dorothy Clive Garden.

The hotel is in a quiet city centre location and we have direct links to the Stoke-on-Trent's Potteries heritage. Josiah Wedgwood, the "Father of English Potters." lived in Etruria Hall and this impressive 18th century building is now our dedicated 8-room meetings and events centre and a popular Staffordshire wedding venue.

All 147 of the hotel's bedrooms have comfort cooling and free, unlimited Wi-Fi. Our leisure facilities are free to use for residents and include an indoor heated pool, sauna, spa pool and air conditioned gym. The hotel is close to the M6 motorway - just 20 minutes from either junction 15 or 16. When you arrive we have free parking for up to 350 cars. I travelling by train Stoke Station is approximately two-miles from the hotel. We are an hour's drive from the cities of Birmingham, Derby, Warrington, Manchester and Liverpool so we make a great hotel when travelling on business in the Midlands and Northwest.

There is so much to do and see in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire, indoor and out, including the stunning Staffordshire  Peak District  just 30 minutes from the Hotel. Other local visitor attractions include Monkey Forest where you can walk amongst 140 Barbary macaques that roam freely in 60 acres of Staffordshire woodland. The hotel is next door to the indoor tropical aqua park Water World. Middleport Pottery  is now an exciting and award-winning visitor destination in the heart of Burslem, the Mother Town of the Potteries. On a sunny day why not walk to Middleport along the Trent-Mersey Canal tow-path. The canal is just a short walk from the hotel.
