Whether visiting for business or pleasure the hotel is a great base with fantastic transport links. The hotel is easy to get to - just 15 minutes from the M6 motorway. There is parking available on site.

The hotel is one-hour from Birmingham, Derby, Warrington, Manchester and Liverpool so we make a great hotel when travelling on business in the Midlands and Northwest.  If travelling by train, Stoke Station is approximately two-miles from the hotel. Stoke Minster is only 2.8 miles from the hotel.

The hotel has direct links to Stoke-on-Trent's Potteries heritage. Josiah Wedgwood, the "Father of English Potters" lived in Etruria Hall and this impressive 18th century building is now our dedicated 8-room meetings and events centre and a popular Staffordshire wedding venue.

Lockdown has been a challenging time for all and we recognise and know that many of our friends, guests and colleagues are looking forward to the day that some form of normality returns. With all the announcements last week and no clear date set for hotels to re-open and commence our ‘Return to Hospitality’ plan, we have made the decision to close the hotel until November 2020. This will give us the opportunity to concentrate on our very exciting £6.5 million refurbishment and transformation into a DoubleTree by Hilton.

We are very much looking forward to the post-lockdown chapter and inviting you back through our refurbished doors. For guest whose travel plans are being affected by the virus, modification and cancellation penalties may be waived for stays with arrivals until the 1st September 2020. Great News; our first stage of our refurbishment is underway!
We have done our best to notify all guests that there are works being carried out.
Currently 30 of our 147 bedrooms are having a face lift followed by the remaining 117, these are all on our first floor and will not affect any other rooms.
With such a large project there maybe teething problems but we expect noise to kept at a minimum between 9am-4pm Monday to Friday.


There is so much to see and do in Staffordshire, indoor and out, including the stunning Staffordshire Peak District just 30 minutes from the hotel. Other local visitor attractions include the Monkey Forest where you can walk amongst 140 Barbary macaques, the indoor tropical aqua park Water World, and the award-winning visitor destination of Middleport Pottery which is in the heart of Burslem, the Mother Town of the Potteries.
